Welcome to Sequoyah United Methodist Church
Sequoyah United Methodist Church has been serving the people of Fayetteville for almost half a century. We’ve grown from a small group seeking to provide a church home for Methodists on what was then the east side of town, to a church home in the midst of Fayetteville for families and individuals from all walks of life.
God is the source of our strength. We seek to share God’s love, to serve the community, and to support one another as we grow in the knowledge and presence of God. Through vibrant worship, authentic fellowship, and active outreach, we support one another in finding Christ in our daily lives.
“You are no longer strangers, but members of the community, and of the family of God built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” – Ephesians 2:19
Our Mission and Vision
We are a community of hope, anchored in prayer, ignited by the Holy Spirit to represent Christ to the World.
We are united in our faith in God’s promise of salvation through the grace of Jesus Christ, seeking to be faithfully optimistic toward life with other people in this world. We continually and expectantly listen for God’s will in all things. We seek to be faithfully responsive to God’s will, empowered by God’s Holy Spirit to bear the light of God’s love to the world – inviting, comforting, teaching, feeding, clothing, tending, being in community with and holding ourselves accountable to people everywhere.
